BMW displayed an Alpine White colored theme at California’s 2012 Orange County International Auto Show. An exception to the whole Alpine White theme were two crazy rebels, the 2013 F12 BMW M6 Coupe painted Sakhir Orange, and the 2013 BMW X6M painted Black Sapphire Metallic.
Earlier last month BMW mentioned that there has been an increase in demand by customers for white cars, which has been influenced by apple’s white colored electronic devices. Therefore, it’s only natural for the intelligent marketing arm of the Bavarian automaker to display colors that customer would find appealing.

It was only natural for them to showcase the most popular 2013 BMW models for the everyday consumer. Displaying 9 vehicles in total, divided between 5 cars and 4 SAVs. Cars on display were the BMW F30 328i sedan, F10 535i sedan, 640i Gran Coupe sedan, the F12 M6, and the mighty E65 Alpina B7 7-series which attracted the masses. Mostly because the M6 was not accessible. Regarding the Sport Activity Vehicles, an all new front wheel drive BMW X1 was on display, along side the X3, X5, X6, and the powerful X6M. Another M not accessible to the crowds.

So what stood out? As you could imagine, the 640i Gran Coupe 4-door sedan is stunning with those frameless doors. A front end that outshines the F30 3-series sedan, as it should in basic 328i trim on display. On the other hand, the M6 appeared aggressively stunning all around, with brake rotors the size of some car wheels. While the controversial member at the show, the BMW X1 fits perfectly in its appearance to the X family. Even though it is the first BMW to share a platform with a front wheel drive based MINI.
