The MINI John Cooper Works GP is undergoing last minute testing before it goes into production shortly. With the help of its twin-scroll turbo I4 cylinder, sport tuned chassis, and functional aerodynamics it lapped the Nordshleife Grand Prix circuit almost 19 sec. faster than the previous John Cooper Works GP Cooper S. The public unveil will take place during the MINI United Festival between May 11th & 13th at historic Le Castellet in France.

The small engine produces outstanding torque while revving with ease. Uniquelly developed adjustable race suspenson help keep this hot hatch planted around corners. Equipped with a body kit that includes big front and rear aprons, side skirts, and a rear bumper diffuser to go along with a bespoke roof spoiler. It has a demanding stance that only a MINI can deliver in that size.

As previously mentioned, this John Cooper Works GP Kit for the Cooper S will be available in limited amounts that includes production cars fitted directly with that kit. The quantity of kits allocated to US customers, Pricing, and exact performance figures will be released closer to the launch date.  The new gen is expected to deliver more than the 214 hp that the previous gen put out.
