The new BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible is a high-performance sports touring car featuring outstanding performance characteristics and a genuinely original character. Available late 2012 as a 2013 model, the BMW M6 Coupe has a one of a kind, functional, squarely contoured “double bubble” carbon fiber reinforced plastic roof. While the BMW M6 Convertible sports a contrasting soft-top with a unique 6-Series fin design.

High-revving 4.4-litre V8 TwinPower consisting of Twin Scroll Twin Turbo technology, cross-bank exhaust manifold. Direct Injection with fully variable valve control, VALVETRONIC. Power is 560 hp @ mid 6K RPM , while max torque is achieved from 1500 RPM all the way to 7200 RPM while achieving 30% improved fuel economy ( now with a fully defeatable engine Auto Start-Stop technology) as compared with the old 5.0-liter V10 from the E60 M5. Power to weight ratio of the BMW M6 Coupe: 3.3 kg/hp,while the convertible has 3.5 kg/hp.

The engine is mated to a new 7-speed M-DCT transmission with paddle shifters and launch control. Power is sent to the rear rubber via an active M Differential for optimum traction around the corners. BMW claims acceleration of 0-62 mph in 4.2 seconds for the M6 Coupe and 4.3 for the convertible, 0-124 mph in 12.6 and 13.1 seconds respectably. Vmax is electronically limited to 155mph. A whopping 189 mph is on tap if you opt for the M driver’s package.
