Short video of an F30 BMW 335i following a Lamborghini Gallardo SV (from the looks of it). A race between the two cars did not take place as the streets were fairly busy.
Equipped with a BMW M Performance stainless steel exhaust system, the 335i is virtually stock otherwise. As you can hear from the video, the exhaust is drone free, with a deeper yet throaty pitch.
Let’s be honest, after all, the Gallardo is way out of the league of a stock 335i (other than the exhaust swap). A modified n55 engine in this 3-Series can do miracles without any major changes, as we’ve seen over the past few years.The current generation 335i uses the same single Twin Power turbo 3-liter 6 cylinder N55 engine from the outgoing E90/E92 model. The new car is lighter, longer, and overall more grown up than the car it replaces.
